Nifty Necktie Belts

Add some sparkle to your wardrobe, and some razzle to your dazzle when your wear these totally Nifty Necktie Belts.

Supplies:
Old Neck Ties
Aleene’s® Jewel-It Glue
Sequin Trim
Cabachons
Rhinestones
Permanent Pen

Tools:
Scissors
Straight Pins
Crafting Foam work mat

Steps:
Monogram Belt: (best for overall patterns)

1. Lay the tie on a piece of craft foam. Draw your initial on the bottom of the necktie with a permanent pen to create a guideline.
2. Place a line of glue on the guideline.
3. Lay sequin trim into the wet glue, pinning as you go.
4. Finish the ends by adding a cabachon over the end of the sequins with a drop of glue to hold in place. 
5. Pull out the pins and wipe clean before the glue dries.
6. Let the necktie dry overnight.

Rhinestone Belt: (best for images to outline or embellish)

1. Decide where the best accents to the design are on the necktie, and lay out the rhinestones until you reach the desired look.
2. Move the rhinestones aside and squeeze a small drop or line of glue onto the necktie. Place the rhinestones into the glue. 
3. Let the necktie dry overnight.
