Spin Art Glass Dinner Plates
Design & Instructions by Pattie Donham, Host of Craft Studios

These Spin Art Glass Dinner Plates will take you back to those days at the county fair when you spun and painted psychedelic designs.

Supplies:
Clear Glass Plates
Pebeo® Glass Paints:
Vitrea™ 160 – Grenadine, Indian Red, Ink Black, Amaranthine
Lazy Susan (rotating tray)
A Box, larger than the lazy susan
Glue Dots
Waxed Paper
Tape
Knife
Oven & Oven Mitts

Steps:
1. Cover the lazy susan with waxed paper, taping in place. Place the lazy susan inside the box.
2. Clean the glass plate thoroughly.
3. Place 3 or 4 glue dots on the top edge of the glass plate.
4. Place the plate face down on the lazy susan, with the glue dots holding it in place.
5. Spin the lazy susan and pour a stream of paint from the center of the plate to the edge. Stop the lazy susan from spinning. Repeat for additional colors.
6. Pull the glass plate from the lazy susan and let dry 24 hours. Remove the glue dots if they are remaining on the plate. Scrap off any excess paint from the edges of the plate with a knife.
7. Place in a 325º oven for 40 minutes. Will withstand dishwasher after baking.
